At The Grant Coach, we’re all about grant writing. If you’re the kind who wants to learn at your own pace, we have Do It Yourself learning kits. If you want a little extra input, we have coaching programs by email, phone, or online meeting. And, if you’re not a do-it-yourself kind of person, our professional grant writers can write your grants for you. Contact me so we can set up a time to talk about your needs and how we can help you achieve your goals. At The Grant Coach, we have a way to get grants done the way you want to do them.
I remember my first year as a grant writer. I had been working for a school district and a new superintendent came on board. Well, you know how it goes – the new guy has to make changes.
I was called in and told my job had been eliminated, but they had a new position for me. I was to be the new grant writer. Of course, I accepted the position on the spot. (Who wouldn’t accept a new job when they old one had just gone away?)
But then I went back to my office and started to panic. What in the world did a grant writer do? I had no idea where to start. Where would I find grant sources? What would I write grants for? What did a successful grant even look like?
I was suddenly in overwhelm mode and had no idea what to do first. All I knew was that the boss would come by one day soon to see what I had accomplished. I think it was at that point I started looking at how many sick days I had accumulated, in case I needed a little time to get my act together.
I started going to workshops, reading books and articles, and looking at sample grants. I did a lot of work before I actually got to write a grant proposal. And, after 25 years of grant writing, I’m still learning.
Whether you have suddenly become a new grant writer, have had these responsibilities added to your already heavy workload, or want to start a new career in the grant industry, I can help. I can even help you if you have written a few grants with less than stellar success.
With my guidance, you can skip over all the struggles and hours of study. You can stop experimenting and go straight to what works in grant writing.
I am looking forward to sharing my expertise with you and helping you experience Grant Writing Success.
